Emmanuel Wilfer Hybrid Bass, 1979
This extremely nice Emmanuel Wilfer Hybrid Bass, made 1979 in Germany, is in very good to excellent condition. It bears a hand-lettered label. Carved spruce top, laminated ribs and back with nicely flamed veneer. Very nice, dense ebony fingerboard, adjustable bridge. The top is in remarkably good condition with only a minor, repaired saddle crack. Good-sounding and resonant. Very nice, warm varnish color - a cut above the bright orange and red often seen in this level bass from this era. An excellent choice for gigging and/or student orchestra - get an interesting, European, vintage bass for the price of a garden-variety new model!
