1967 Roth Hybrid bass, 1967
These vintage German basses are legendary for being well-made, with nicely figured wood, and this one is no exception - carved spruce top and laminated back and sides with well-chosen, flamed veneer and highly-flamed maple neck. It had been abandoned on our shores due to a hole in the rib - our luthier Thomas Helton neatly replaced the original wood back in place, cleaned up and revised its couple of other former repairs, added carbon bars to the neck under the fingerboard, and added a new bridge and new endpin with threaded stopper. It's playing GREAT - lots of power and punch, easy to get around. Lots of value added to this nice vintage bass, and it's still at a bargain price!
