Tyrolean bass, ca. 1920
An extraordinarily good-sounding flatback bass in the Tyrolean style (that of the German/Czech border region). It features a recent, full-thickness, dense ebony fingerboard, and a good adjustable bridge. Resonant and powerful sound! Its tuning machines indicate it's from the era around 1920: three-leaved thumbpieces and wood pegs, which are in good condition. New Spirocore strings. It had a button repair sometime in the past. The neckset is very solid, but the bass is priced to reflect the old repair. Really exceptional price for a solid, vintage bass with its tone and playability - a don't-miss deal!
