19th-century French bass
Just consigned - a very interesting 19th-century French bass in a large 3/4 size. Carved back; the top is an even thickness, as made by Parisian makers. This bass has had the same owner since the 1970s and is overall in very good condition. Very responsive and rich-sounding, with ample low end. Though it's large-ish for a 3/4, there is a bit of slope to the shoulders, making it easier to play than many French cello-shaped basses. See this bass on YouTube!
