A quality, professional-looking 14" viola isn't so easy to find - this one fills the bill!  Vintage German 14" viola (ca. 1992), newly varnished and beautifully set up by Geoffrey Daugherty of Daugherty Violins of Eureka, CA.  This was a special project Mr. Daugherty did for us.  Geoffrey, along with his father, reknowned bassist and luthier Bob Daugherty, were the proprietors of Daugherty Violins for many years, with a reputation for the finest quality instruments and luthiery.  Don't miss this unique opportunity to own an example of this beautiful work!

Violinists who occasionally double on viola can find switching between instruments is greatly simplified with a viola that has the same string length as a violin (that would be a 14")!  Or, violin students who are switching to viola can make the transition much more easily while keeping their intonation consistent as they adapt to the tonal differences and reading in alto clef.  Yes, smaller violas don't sound as big as larger ones, but, depending on your performance demands, the tradeoff in intonation security may be your higher priority, and you'll find this viola a great and affordable answer!
