19th-century French bass
Don't miss this opportunity! Outstanding, beautiful, and powerful French bass, ca. 1890. This bass has had the same owner since the 1970s and is overall in very good condition. Very responsive and rich-sounding, with ample low end. New, highly flamed neck, with modern overstand for ease of access to thumb position, carbon-fiber bars inlaid in the neck for quick playing response and ultimate neck stability, and new solo-length A grade ebony fingerboard! The bass has just had a top-off revision of all former work along with some minor repair on the inside, and is completely healthy inside and out. It was found to be in extremely good condition on the inside, with very few old cleats and patches, all of which are sound and tight. It's very resonant and responsive.
