"Pecard" Gamba Model Carved Bass SOLD
SOLD A unique bass with great playability and personality! Chinese made, fully carved, labelled as a 'Pecard' model. The carving and varnish are a bit different than the Chinese basses we ordinarily see, and it seems to have been made with creativity and care. It's not overly glossy, so it looks like an older bass, but not overly antiqued, and definitely never abused.Just set up in our workshop with a brand-new, top quality fingerboard, Despiau bridge, new endpin, and Realist Copperhead pickup. Excellent condition - no cracks or repairs! It's a few years old, appears to have been played very little, and came to us a few months ago as a trade-in. The fingerboard had been planed far too thin at its initial setup elsewhere (sadly, this is still extremely common), so we replaced it with an A grade solo-cut ebony one. This bass has been played a few times on local concerts by touring professionals, so we have left the brand-new Realist pickup on, and at the moment, it's included in the price. Sales price will be discounted by $200 if you don't wish the pickup to be included. This is a GREAT bass for the price - don't miss it!
